FLASH! Rachel has moved from Springfield, NJ to the Big Apple and – partly in celebration of that – has just released a brand-new album entitled “Now.” Three of the songs on the album were co-written by Rachel’s manager, producer and mentor Denise Marsa. We asked Rachel to share the experience of her latest creativity and how she sees it as being different from her breakthrough album “If I Believe.” -interview with Jersey Girls Sing
Taking the indie route and keeping her direction her own, Rachel Millman released her 5 song CD IF I BELIEVE on KeyMedia Group, in September of 09’.
Originally from Springfield, New Jersey, Millman moved to NYC in 2012. She made her debut TV appearance in 2011 on NBC’s Weekend Today in New York and that same year, she sang the national anthem at Citi Field for The Mets vs Phillies game for over 30,000 thrilled fans. Rachel has performed at many of NYC’s top venues including Feinstein’s, The Bitter End and The Living Room. She also performed at The University of Virginia for the Maccabi Games and has been a volunteer performer for the non-profit organization Musicians on Call.
Rachel’s second recording NOW, a six song EP features Rachel’s first songwriting efforts as a contributing lyricist on several songs. Continuing her association with KeyMedia, Millman’s own company Gila Enterprises partnered on the release of NOW.
Rachel is currently taking some time away from her performing and recording as she and her husband have started a family.
NOW – RACHEL MILLMAN – “Millman’s voice is a unique combination of powerful and sweet, something that separates her from other artists. The strong vocals, great lyrics and upbeat music make a great mix of songs that you’ll be finding yourself singing after. A favorite from the album is “Big Bite,” where she sings about being in New York and approaching life in a fearless way. Listening to the song, you can almost picture yourself walking around in New York City with this song playing in the background.” – The Celebrity Cafe
